While many web design companies base their estimates on how many hours it will take to develop a website, other companies offer flat rate pricing based on their past experience for how much work it will take complete a website.

Here are some average small to medium sized business web design prices you might expect to find as you send out request for proposals or email various web design companies getting quotes on website development:

  • Hourly: $75-$250/hr

Freelance Web Designer

  • Hourly: $15-$50/hr

You might find average web design rates fall in the $40-$60 range considering how many cheap overseas developers there are who will work for $5/hr.
